Florida Bible School

 Joanna, James and Zoe were the only children at the Bible School, but Auntie Glenna had lots of fun things for them.  She taught them first class, then I taught them second class and Grama Ru took whoever was still awake for third class (Zoe was always ready for a nap by then and some days everyone was!).  Here are some photos from classes:

The pool wasn't near as warm as Grandma's pool but fortunately is was pretty hot the week of the Bible School so we were able to enjoy it.....

We went to the beach one afternoon and ended up spending the rest of the day there.  The kids loved being in the sand and the water...

Meal time was always a bit of an adventure, but Grandma Dorothy was amazing and joined us for every meal that we made it to...

They had an "Old Fashioned Picnic" one afternoon and the kids had lots of fun playing the games...

Zoe got attacked by red ants at the picnic and ended up with about 40 bites on one foot. =(

Our week at Grandma Dorothy's house

 We have just come home from two weeks in Florida and we had a wonderful time.  We spent the first week at Grandma Dorothy's house and then we went to Florida Bible School. 

Here are some photos of our trip....

John drove down with us on Thursday night and and stayed until Monday.  It wasn't long enough, but it was nice that he could be there some of the time.

We met Nathanael at Largo Ecclesia on Sunday.

Grandma Dorothy had her pool nice and warm so the kids could swim everyday.

We had a wonderful day at the beach.

On Thursday morning we HAD to go out for breakfast so that the cleaning ladies could come and clean the house, it was a hard life really. =)

We then went to the local playground and then headed over to Steve and Betty Lou's for lunch.

James had been dying to see an alligator all week so we went to Saw Grass Lake Park and saw a baby alligator and a big turtle.

Zoe's Birthday

Wow, how did it get to be January already!?!  We celebrated Zoe's first birthday last month with a cute bear cake made by Dawn Cseke. Zoe enjoyed having the whole teddy bear to herself and the older two sat and cheered her on as she devoured (or smeared!) a good portion of it.  It is hard to believe that a whole year has passed!  Zoe is walking everywhere and has a definite mind of her own.  She doesn't want to be treated like a baby anymore and she wants to be a part of whatever the big kids are doing.  Still, she is a very happy baby and a lot of fun!

Saturday was the first Tot CYC class for the year.  Tot CYC is something new this year that Dan and Nicki have started up for the kindergarten - second graders in our area.  They met with the Primary and Junior CYCs at Milford Hall and each CYC had their own class and then headed to the Cider Mill for the activity.  The little ones and I didn't get to go to the class (nap time)  but we met John and Joanna and the group at the cider mill.  We all got to go on a wagon ride out to the apple orchard and pick apples and then eat cider and donuts.  It was a beautiful fall day.

James' Birthday

 To celebrate James' 3rd Birthday we went raspberry picking and then to a cider mill.  We picked lots of raspberries and ate lots of raspberries (we even came home with enough to make jam and smoothies and sundaes!).  The cider mill had animals to look at and a wagon ride, plus cider and donuts, of course.  Daddy made a wonderful Tigger cake for James and we had lunch at the cider mill.  It was a beautiful Saturday and we had a great day!
